To create a safer, more pedestrian-friendly Civic Precinct, vehicle access has been relocated from Rokeby Road to Hamersley Road. This change ensures there are no vehicle movements through the heart of the Precinct, allowing people to gather, walk, and explore without concern for traffic.
The new Civic Building includes an undercroft carpark with both public and private bays, with a lift providing easy access to the Lobby, Library, and Museum. Additional street parking on Rokeby Road and Bagot Road further increases the total number of bays, combining convenience with a safe, welcoming environment for pedestrians and visitors.
