The E H Parker Library, listed on the City of Subiaco’s local heritage register, has long been a landmark of modern architecture in the area since its construction in 1971. Recently restored in 2024, the Library will remain in its current location, continuing to serve as a hub for learning, reading, and community connection.
As part of the Precinct’s pedestrianisation, the existing parking behind the Library will be replaced with new undercroft parking – easily accessible via lift – along with additional street parking on Rokeby Road and Bagot Road. The new Civic Precinct design will enhance the Library’s ability to run programs such as Storytime, Rhymetime, and school holiday activities, even during inclement weather.
